2009 Domaine de la Becassonne blanc

2009 Domaine de la Becassonne blanc

The 2009 Domaine de la Becassonne blanc has finally arrived!!! We’ve been waiting patiently all summer and now the time is here!

We were huge fans of the Domaine de la Becassonne blanc in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 vintages. Just like the wine critics said, 2009 doesn’t disappoint.

This luscious beauty is a transparent pale yellow with a wonderful nose full of tropical fruit. This is a rich, luxurious full-bodied white that’s creamy with a lingering finish. We noted tropical fruit, peach, apricot, dried pear and some green apple and mineral at the end. We drank it most recently with some spicy Indian food and it matched perfectly.

This Côtes du Rhône is composed of 50% Roussanne, 30% Grenache blanc and 20% Clairette. It has 13% alcohol.

I bought a case immediately after I heard that it was released in San Francisco and hope to get one or two more before they’re all sold out. You should look for this wine ASAP!
